There are times when we need some extra support to deal with life's challenges. Whether it is something that you feel is taking over your life, getting in the way or something about yourself that you just don't understand. I offer a safe confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings so that together we can find a way forward.
I am a Person-Centred counsellor working with adults, young people and children in the Warrington area of Cheshire. I see many clients with anxiety, from social anxiety, separation anxiety, health anxiety to panic disorder, to name a few. I also work with those struggling with bereavement, relationship breakdown, gender dysphoria and career related issues.
I work from counselling rooms in Warrington town centre which have disabled access and plenty of local parking. I also work in schools, will do home visits and offer online video sessions as well as telephone sessions.
I am involved with the Willow Project which offers counselling to children and young people in the Wigan and Leigh area. As well as the Broomfields Youth Project (BYP) which works to support young people in Appleton and Stockton Heath.
What is Person-Centred Counselling?
Most of us are influenced by those around us and what society expects of us. We can feel under pressure to be a certain way or achieve certain things.
The Person-Centred Approach helps you to get in touch with what really matters to you, what you really want and how you really feel. It supports you to grow and get stronger, so that you feel able to face the world and those around you, but also to be true to yourself.
Although counselling may have covered a small part of your life, the understanding you develop and the strength you gain will benefit all aspects of your life.
When can counselling help?
Counselling can benefit those who are dealing with a wide variety of issues whether they are recent or have been around for a long time. It can also be helpful for those who want to change certain aspects of their life or behaviour.
I see clients with:
Anxiety (including SeparationAnxiety, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety and General Anxiety)
Family and Relationship issues

'We cannot change, we cannot move away from what we are, until we thoroughly accept what we are. Then change seems to come about almost unnoticed'.
'The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.'
William James (1842 -1910)
Life is a journey, sometimes the path is shaky, sometimes the path is unknown or very scary. Having someone to support you at these times can help you to continue forward and find your way onto a stronger, clearer path.
