I am a supervisor and an accredited counsellor with over 10 years experience. I have a well established private practice which includes work with a wide range of clients, including children and young people.

I believe that finding the right supervisor for you can make a significant difference, not only to your client work but also to your own self development. I work with children, young people and adults and have experience of working in schools as well as in the Third Sector. I work with EAP clients and currently manage a small, community based counselling service in the local area.I have previously worked in a commercial environment, managing teams and mentoring colleagues.

I believe that it is important to have a collaborative relationship with a supervisor who can:

  • support and challenge you

  • help you to enhance your skills and theoretical knowledge

  • encourage you to be open to different ways of working

  • support you to work within your boundaries

  • encourage self-awareness and reflective practice

  • discuss ethical practice and self care

  • consider how to navigate the challenges of private practice or the issues that may arise in your work place

  • work through safeguarding issues and responses.

My main focus is the Person Centred Approach, although I do incorporate aspects of CBT, transactional analysis and psycho-dynamic therapy when necessary. I am qualified in the Seven Eyed Supervision Model developed by Hawkins and Shoet, which is effective across most modalities. I offer a safe space where, together, we can explore your strengths and challenges, so that you continue to grow and develop as a therapist. I am happy to work with both qualified counsellors and trainees.
